There was cell phone news besides the iPhone last week. T-Mobile made an announcement that may be better than Apple’s cell phone on steroids and it’s a service.
T-Mobile announced HotSpot@Home which could save users lots of cash over the term of the contract. For $10 a month users can add this service to their plan. What does it do? It allows users to make calls for free as long as they by a wi-fi hotspot. Users don’t get charged to the calls made within the hotspot. Calls made outside a hotspot will get charged as usual.
With Apple’s big announcement there are lots of $$$s attached. The iPhone will run you at least $500 and the service about $60. With T-Mobile’s plan you could be saving tons of money, something we can all do.
T-Mobile even offers for free (after rebate) a wireless router so you can call in the wi-fi area for free. There is a seamless transition from going to wi-fi to normal cell service. Can it be any more easy?
