The Turbo Wizpy is a multimedia player that runs Linux.  That has its cool factor.  Now let’s throw in a bit of geek; the media player can boot your PC with Linux without interfering with your current OS.

The folks at TurboLinux has designed their own distribution of Linux that works on the media player and, when using your USB cable to your PC, will run your desktop computer.
This comes at a good time, as PC users are gun shy about Windows Vista.  For the company it may play out in their favor.  Noriaki Fukuyasu, director of TurboLinux’s international business division said in an interview,  “With Windows Vista just coming out people are thinking about changing their operating system but many are not sure they want to upgrade to Vista”.

Users would have a fully functional PC in their pocket that serves as a media player and a bootable PC. It also features a 1.7 inch color screen and keyboard.  You can play a host of formats on it, including Windows Media.  You can also record sounds with its mic and tune into its FM radio.
