MS says they can sell 4 million Xbox 360 units in 2 months
Yesterday the CFO of Microsoft said he was confident that by the end of the year that the software giant would sell 4 million Xbox 360 game consoles.
Let’s put some things into perspective. As of Thursday Microsof thas sold 6 million Xbox 360s since its worldwide release a year ago.
When Microsoft Chief Financial Officer Chris Liddell said he was “confident” they would sell another 4 million by the end of the year to the Washington Post he might not have considered that they would not be able to manufacture the units in time.
The price point for Sony’s PlayStation3 (starting at $499) will certainly help the holiday sales of the 360. PS3’s retail won’t be able to help make the 360’s any faster.
