For those of you who don’t know what AppleTV is:  It’s the other gadget Steve Jobs presented at MacWorld.  Unlike the iPhone (which is stealing the spotlight) the AppleTV seems to be a more affordable and useful product.  While people have been talking about the iPhone I’ve been awaiting news from the AppleTV camp.  Yesterday was not a good day for me.

It looks like the AppleTV’s release date has been pushed back to mid-March.  According to Apple PR Director of Mac products Lynn Fox, “Wrapping up Apple TV is taking a few weeks longer than we projected, and we now expect to begin shipments mid-March.”

The AppleTV is being released as a media center with a 40GB HD, network capability along with digital and analog outputs.
