Although I had only tried one Italian red wine before this one I had almost given up on Italian wines. I have to tell you, that Icardi’s Barbera D’asti was really quite smooth.

Honestly I would not have tried it had it not been that some guests brought if over for dinner. I told them we were having Italian Sunday Gravy so my old friend decided the wine. She hit it right on the head.

The overall taste was pretty smooth with just a hint of fruit and very little “bit” that comes with some wines from Italy. I’d have to say I will seek this one out next time I plan on having my Sunday Gravy.

It would be worth a try of you plan on having pasta with red sauce or a red meat..or in my case, both.

Cheers to Mae Mae for the choice wine.

After john Stewart Monday asked Bill Gates, “What does the F12 key do?” on the Daily Show I’d figured I’d look into it.  This is what I found…thanks to Wikipedia.

BTW my keyboard goes to F13

I was never, ever good at this.  The closest I could come is pulling the stickers off of the little cubes.  This guy is good though…

Tell Congress to Investigate the NSA Spying ProgramOver five years since it first began, the NSA's massive domestic spying program remains shrouded in secrecy. Three courts have rejected the government's bogus arguments shielding the program, but the President is still trying to dodge meaningful oversight. Take action now and demand immediate Congressional investigations.

One of the things Microsoft is proud of with their new operating system, Vista. One of the things they are proud of is the digital rights management (DRM) of the new OS.

Vista was released at midnight today and alredy their is a possible crack to the DRM in it. An enterprising young gentleman named Alex Ionescu is claiming he was able to bypass Vista’s Protected Media Path DRM. That DRM prevents you from enjoying HD material on non-HD outputs (like VGA monitors or older HDMI-TVs). The process was simple (but not release yet). Alex didn’t load any unsigned drivers. So when the HD media was getting played on the computer Vista couldn’t see if there was a digital (using DRM) or analog (not allowed by DRM) component hooked into the PC. So it decided to play it anyway.

And just think, Vista is not even 6 hours old.
